A little about me....I was born in California but have lived in Texas since I was eight, so I consider myself a Texan. I have lived all over Texas (Austin, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Houston, Stephenville, Plano and Dripping Springs) I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Jarrell, Texas before teaching in Dripping Springs. I have taught at Walnut and Rooster Springs for the last 5 years. I have four boys.  One is currently attending BYU.  The others attend Dripping Springs High School, Middle School and Walnut  Springs. I'm a proud parent and a dedicated teacher. If I have any spare time between football, robotics, boy scouts, and teaching I love to scrapbook, quilt and go camping.

I believe in creating a supportive community of learners where each student is encouraged to perform to the best of their abilities. In order to accomplish this endeavor it involves collaboration, communication, consistency and creativity.  Collaboration is a vital part of the everyday activities in my classroom. Students will collaborate with their fellow classmates on a regular basis.  Communication between parents, students and myself is imperative in order to help each student reach their educational goals.  Consistency will help each student follow class expectations for learning and behavior.  Creativity allows parents, students and myself to be flexible enough to meet each student where they are so they can perform their best.
